MetLife provides state minimum liability with all auto policies. This can be increased to provide more protection. Bodily injury and Property damage you are liable for is covered under this.
You can also add uninsured motorist liability to protect yourself from drivers without insurance or drivers who failed to provide proof of coverage (Ex. Hit and run drivers). This will pay you for the Bodily injury and Property damage the other driver is responsible for.
You can purchase collision coverage with a variety of deductible options.
Comprehensive coverage (a.k.a. other than collision) can be used to protect you against losses like hail damage and theft. Breakage of glass is also covered. MetLife will waive the deductible for small chips and dings. They will also pay for a rental car if the vehicle is stolen even if rental reimbursement coverage is not purchased.
Deductible savings benefit included. Each year without a claim a $50 deductible credit is added. Goes up to $250.
